Bracelets with a clasp

Measure wrist circumference, then add the allowance recommended for that design. Fit depends on flexibility, thickness and preferred looseness. Do not assume one allowance works for every bracelet.

Closed and hinged bangles

A closed bangle must pass over the widest part of the hand. Bring the thumb towards the palm when measuring. A hinged bangle opens around the wrist, so its opening and inner shape also matter.

Try the complete combination

For a circular bangle, inner circumference equals inner diameter × 3.1416. That formula does not directly describe an oval shape. Check the brand’s guide, try stacked bangles together and confirm comfort without forcing the hand or bending the jewellery.
