Origin and material are different questions
Natural diamonds form through geological processes. Laboratory-grown diamonds are produced with human-controlled processes and share diamond’s basic material properties. Moissanite and cubic zirconia are different materials used as simulants, not laboratory-grown diamonds.
Ask for precise wording
Vague descriptions such as “synthetic stone” do not identify the material. Ask whether each important stone is natural or laboratory-grown, and whether treatments are disclosed. Small side stones also deserve clear description.
Verification and value
Appearance and a simple tester cannot reliably establish origin. Use appropriate professional testing and a matching report where warranted. Compare equivalent products and written resale terms; none of these categories guarantees a future resale price.
