Try the length on yourself
The same chain sits differently depending on neck size, body shape and pendant. Use a string measured in centimetres and try it with the clothing you intend to wear.
Common length references
40 cm sits near the base of some necks; 45 cm is common; 50 cm offers more space; 55–60 cm hangs lower towards the chest; 70 cm and above suits longer or layered styles. These are references, not a promise of fit.
Match chain and pendant
Check that the clasp passes through the pendant bail and that the chain supports its weight. An extender can provide flexibility. Distinct layer lengths help reduce tangling. This style guide is not a safety guide for children’s necklaces.
