A country name is not a karat

“Italian” or “Turkish” usually describes manufacturing origin or a commercial style. Ask whether the item was actually made there or merely inspired by its designs. Read the hallmark and invoice. Equal weights and karats contain equal theoretical gold, regardless of origin.

What to compare

For Bahraini gold, check documented origin, ornament and joints. For Turkish pieces, ask about net metal weight and solid or hollow construction. For Kuwaiti pieces, verify the supplier, hallmark and sale terms. For Italian pieces, verify the actual manufacturer, karat, model and repair costs. None of these labels guarantees a fixed purity or superior quality.

Explain a price difference

Two 15 g 21K bracelets each contain 13.125 g of pure gold. Different prices may reflect workmanship, design, stones, branding, import costs or tax. Test the clasp and ask about thickness, resizing and repairs. For everyday wear, prioritize comfort and design; for saving, compare total ownership and buyback costs.
